FAMILY WEEK, 2025

This year we launched our very first FAMILY WEEK!

We invited the families of our children to come and join them in class where they were able to join in the lesson, learn from their children and get a sense of what happens in the studio.

We had the most fun watching our children teach their families a thing or two as well as show off what they have been working so hard on.

We want to thank all of our families for supporting both Red Rose and the pupils. We hope you had a fab time and we’ll look forward to you joining us again next year!

RED ROSE STAGE ACADEMY AWARDS, 2024

On 15th February, 2025, we hosted our annual Red Rose Stage Academy Awards Evening!

We had a packed venue full of glitz, glamour and anticipation for the night ahead.

A huge thank you to all of our families who supported the event. It’s one of the highlights to our Red Rose calendar as we get to see so many faces light up as they receive their well-deserved awards. It’s always a very emotional time, especially for us teachers. It’s such a huge privilege to be able to stand in front of our school and talk about each of our award winners and what special something we have noticed about them throughout the year - even though they may not have realised it themselves.

We say it every year but we are so blessed to have such kind, caring, hard-working students that we could easily hand out each award 10 times over - however this year’s award winners have gone to:

RED ROSE STAGE ACADEMY AWARDS, 2018-2019

Saturday 19th January 2019 saw the very first Red Rose Stage Academy Awards at The Stumble Inn, Myerscough College.

The venue was decked out in red and gold, complimenting the colours of the trophies, sashes, medals and certificates. Almost all of the pupils attended with their families which created a real buzz in the atmosphere. We teachers especially enjoyed watching the children rekindle friendships that had been made during showtime by children whose classes don’t usually coincide.

After everyone had had chance to grab a quick drink and a catch up with friends, the award ceremony began.

After the named awards had been handed out, each pupil received certificates for the subjects that they had studied as well as a medal to celebrate their hard work and dedication throughout 2018. There was then an opportunity for friends and family to take their own photos which was followed by a celebration of dancing and chatting. One of my personal highlights of the evening was dancing away with some of the children (and their parents!) to the show tunes of ‘Jitterbugs 2018’ whilst one of our youngest members of the school accompanied us on the microphone. What a superstar!

A huge “THANK YOU!” to everyone who attended the evening for making it such a special occasion. I also want to say a special thank you to Si from MOP Photography for taking these stunning photos of the evening!

INTRODUCING SINGING TO RED ROSE STAGE ACADEMY

Miss Emma will be coming to teach Singing in the New Year, as a weekly class on a Thursday evening.

On 13th Dec 2018, she will visit RED ROSE to teach a couple of free Taster sessions.

KIDS at 6.30pm-7.15pm and ADULTS at 7.15pm - 8pm

These classes will be both educational AND fun - learning about technique, posture, harmony and dynamics - covering a wide range of music from Pop to Musical Theatre.

Miss Emma has a varied CV in the world of Performing Arts - as a College Musical Theatre Lecturer; LAMDA Acting Tutor and as a professional singer - and now for Cuffe and Taylor (Live Nation) as Day to Day Manager of a selection of successful artists including Sheridan Smith and BGT winners, Collabro.

Casting credits (whilst at Cuffe and Taylor) include, most notably: 'Sheridan Smith' Tour vocalists; 'Collabro' UK Tour Children’s Choirs; 'West End Proms' Kids featuring Lea Salonga, Collabro, Ruthie Henshall, Jon Lee and Jodie Prenger.... and the nationwide search to find the boys to form 'Bring It North' (Britain's Got Talent).
